We use QuickBooks Online as the accounting platform for every engagement. If you're not currently on QBO, we've guided many organizations through the migration and know the process well.

Our engagements are priced as fixed monthly fees based on your organization's needs and complexity.

We work exclusively with nonprofits.

Our finance operations are a bit disorganized. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Many organizations come to us with cleanup or structural issues that need attention. Our onboarding process accounts for this. Getting things in order is part of how we start, not a prerequisite for working together.
Do we need to replace our existing finance providers to work with accountiful?
It depends. If you're bringing accountiful in to replace existing support, we'll coordinate a clean handoff. If you want to retain part of your current team, we can work alongside them. We'll determine the right structure during discovery.
How quickly can you get started?
Discovery typically takes 2–4 weeks, followed by an onboarding period of about 3–6 weeks. If you have a specific deadline, let us know. We can often adjust the timeline to accommodate it.
Why do organizations switch to accountiful from other providers?
Usually because they've outgrown generalist support that wasn't built for the realities of nonprofit finance. When that expertise is shallow, problems tend to emerge later. They're expensive to correct. Accountiful works exclusively with nonprofits with depth across finance, payroll, compliance, and governance. That's what prevents those problems from developing in the first place.
Do we need to use every service accountiful offers?
No. Engagements are scoped based on your organization's needs. If you only need payroll, or you're focused on compliance ahead of an audit, we can work within that scope. The right starting point depends on where the friction is.
What if accountiful turns out not to be the right fit?
Our engagements don't have long lock-in periods. If something isn't working, we'll aim to raise it before you do. And if you decide to move on, we'll coordinate a clean transition. Your records stay accessible, and the handoff doesn't disrupt your operations.
